Description

A large-eddy simulation dataset for vertical mixing processes in the ocean surface boundary layer with realistic oceanic equation of state, run using Oceananigans.jl, a highly performant, user-friendly, GPU-accelerated finite volume ocean solver (Wagner et al., 2025).

This dataset suite is used for the calibration, validation and testing of NORi: an ML-informed ocean boundary layer parameterization. See this repository for details about NORi.
