Description
Effective data handling is a crucial aspect in collaborative research projects. SOTERIA being such
a project means that it will be collecting, using but also producing heterogeneous types of data
throughout its life cycle. The deliverable D5.4 is the first version of SOTERIA’s data management
plan and outlines the proposed strategies regarding the supervision of SOTERIA’s data and
publications. First, a summary of the various types and origins of data and the purpose of
collecting them is provided. Next, the plan for the SOTERIA research data to follow the FAIR
principles is described. The approach adopted to provide open access to scientific publications is
described, which will allow research findings to be made freely available online to anyone, with
no restrictions on use or access. Furthermore, an overview of the resources allocated to activities
related to data management is included. The deliverable concludes with the approach to be
followed for ensuring data security and protection is provided, covering aspects related to the
storage of sensitive data and adherence to the GDPR. Specifically, the data security and ethical
considerations principles that should be taken into account during the project implementation
are described.
