Description

This dataset contains supplementary tables and an annex to the report “Trends in Climate Legislation in the Caribbean.”

  • Table 1 provides a breakdown of constitutional references, climate-specific legislation, and climate-related legislation across 16 Caribbean states.
  • Supplementary Table 1 lists climate plans and policies developed over the last twenty-five years (2000–2025).
  • Supplementary Table 2 details climate-specific and climate-related legislation, including year of enactment and legal references.
  • Annex I offers additional information on regional and international climate governance participation, such as membership in CARICOM, ratification of the Escazú Agreement, and submission of climate transparency reports.

The dataset supports the main analysis presented in the report (as of February 2025) and is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of national climate legislation and policy frameworks in the Caribbean.
