KoPfTs2025_DSC: Time-Series Macro Image Dataset of Kozo Paper Fibers, Captured with Olympus Tough TG-5
Authors/Creators
Description
This dataset, referred to as KoPfTs2025_DSC, contains 360 JPG macro images of Kozo fiber based paper. These were annotated with a decade‑wise time‑series label indicating its manufacture date (1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s). All samples were captured using an Olympus Tough TG-5 digital still camera (DSC) in microscope mode. The purpose of this dataset is to support time-series analyses of fiber morphology for historical or material studies.
The camera was set to microscope mode with autofocus, an aperture value of f/6.3, 4× magnification, and a focal length of 18 mm. An LED light guide (LG-1; Olympus, Tokyo, Japan) was used to ensure uniform illumination. Each image measures 4000×3000 pixels and is saved in JPG format.
