Acute changes in macronutrient stoichiometry alter nitrate uptake in benthic biofilms

Description
General information
The data belong to the article "Acute changes in macronutrient stoichiometry alter nitrate uptake in benthic biofilms".
The data are from a lab experiment conducted in Gainesville, Florida, USA. We took sediment samples from four streams of different land-use and background macronutrient stoichiometry. We manipulated the DOC:DIN:PO4-P ratio in a full-factorial design by adding sodium acetate as DOC source and/or sodium nitrate.
Data files
The files can be grouped into the three categories of raw data, R code and output file.
Raw data:
- Catchment.csv contains information about the catchment of the four sampling sites. This file is loaded into the Dat_Analysis.Rmd file for further analysis.
- Data.csv contains information about the benthic biofilm parameters and measured initial and final water macronutrient concentrations. This file is loaded into the Data_Analysis.Rmd file for further analysis.
- DataTernary.csv contains the coordinates of the depletion zones, which are used in Data_Analysis.Rmd
- PhysChem.csv contains data on physical and chemical parameters measured during the sediment sampling in the streams. This file is loaded into the Data_Analysis.Rmd file for further analysis.
- Sediment_Dry_weight.csv contains the weights of sediment during the incubation. This file is loaded into the Data_Analysis.Rmd file for further analysis.
R code:
- Data_Analysis.Rmd loads the raw data files and does the data analysis for th emanuscript. Further information can be found in the file.
Output file:
- Data_Analysis.html is the output file from the R Markdown file.
R setup
The R code Dana_Analysis.Rmd was developed with R version 4.4. and uses the following R libraries:
