EDUKASI UPAYA PENCEGAHAN ULKUS KAKI DIABETIK PADA KADERDAN LANSIA DI POSYANDU LANSIA SADEWO

Diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) is a common complication of diabetes mellitus and causes significant morbidity, mortality, and health care expenditure. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase knowledge about efforts to prevent diabetes and diabetic foot ulcers comprehensively. The method used is to provide counseling or education to increase knowledge about the application of Diabetic Self-care to prevent diabetes and diabeticfoot ulcers. The location of implementation is at the Sadewo Elderly Posyandu, Jati Village, Sidoarjo City. Community service activities are carried out through several activities, namely: registration, providing health services, providing education, and carrying out DM exercises. The results of this activity indicate that most people (70%) have a waist circumference of> 80 cm, systolic blood pressure 60%> 130 mmHg, and diastolic 26%> 90%. Data on BMI from 50 Posyandu participants, 36% have a BMI of more than 27. Cadres and elderly people at the Sadewo Elderly Posyandu in this community service activity are still at risk of experiencing hyperglycemia and DFUcomplications because they have blood glucose levels of more than 200 mg/dl, have hypertension and many are obese
