DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF IoT BASED SMART HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEM

Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized the concept of smart homes by enabling the automation and remote control of household devices. This paper presents the design and implementation of a smart home automation system based on the ESP8266 microcontroller. The system allows for wireless control and monitoring of home appliances via a web-based interface using Wi-Fi. The proposed architecture integrates various sensors and actuators to automate functions such as lighting and environmental monitoring. Testing shows the system to be cost-effective, reliable, and responsive, making it suitable for deployment in residential environments.
