Description
The objective of this study is to provide a list of relevant indicators for measuring the performance of companies in circular economy across their entire value chain, considering different production stages, from upstream to downstream.
Methods
The steps for developing this spreadsheet began with a bibliographical review aimed at selecting key references, i.e., those widely cited by authors and companies to date. Next, these references were analyzed, and their indicators were noted in the spreadsheet in the form of specific metrics, with each indicator potentially having multiple metrics. Each metric was then linked to the corresponding stage of the company's value chain. Finally, the circular economy strategy associated with each indicator was also documented, using as references the strategies proposed by Potting et al. (2017), or 9Rs strategies.
