Description

LPJ-GUESS code and run settings for the publication: Eckes-Shephard et al., 2025: Demography, Dynamics and Data: Building Confidence for Simulating Changes in the World’s Forests.

The output has to be post-processed from LPL-GUESS output format (*.out) into "DBEN" format, using code from the repository:

https://github.com/teatree1212/DBEN_postprocess_LPJGUESStoDBEN

The model version modified for this study was LPJ-GUESS 4.1.

For more information about LPJ-GUESS, see: https://web.nateko.lu.se/lpj-guess/download.html

Getting started:

1) Follow normal instructions on compiling LPJ-GUESS code.

2) Make sure you have output folders in place that adhere to the file-storing post-simulation in the script run_P0_412ppm_NewPhyt_publication.sh.

3) then, within build  execude the bash script

./run_P0_412ppm_NewPhyt_publication.sh

4) download the post-processing scripts from

https://github.com/teatree1212/DBEN_postprocess_LPJGUESStoDBEN

and follow instructions in the readme.md
