This folder contains the data from the paper "Monitoring part-to-part gap and laser power effects in remote laser welding of 1050 aluminum busbar-to-terminal connections via optical microphone sensing", Basile et. al 2025.
 
In this folder, you will find:
 
- The Excel file "Experiments parameters.xlsx", which lists all the process parameters used for each experimental run.
 
 
- The MAT-file "mic_raw.mat", containing the raw data acquired from the optical microphone.
 
The matrix has dimensions 5,000,000 × 183:
- Columns 1–180 correspond to the full factorial design.
- Columns 181–183 contain additional tests performed at 2000 W to induce piercing conditions.
 
 
- The MATLAB script "main_code.m", which reproduces the analysis presented in the paper.
 
 
The MATLAB function "psd_quotient.m", which is called by main_code.
(Make sure both files are placed in the same folder before running the code.)
