Indian Knowledge System: Merging Traditional Wisdom with Modern Science

The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) represents an extensive collection of indigenous insights that have
influenced numerous disciplines, including mathematics, medicine, astronomy, architecture,
metallurgy, linguistics, and philosophy. Grounded in the Vedas, Upanishads, and other ancient
writings, IKS provides comprehensive and sustainable approaches that continue to hold significance in
today's scientific landscape. This paper investigates the interdisciplinary connections between
traditional Indian knowledge and modern science, focusing on its relevance in areas such as Modern
Science, Vedic mathematics and computational sciences, along with environmental sustainability and
technological progress.
The research underscores the significance of incorporating Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) into formal
educational and research frameworks to promote innovation, sustainability, and comprehensive
development. It further explores the contributions of artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and
quantum physics in affirming and advancing the principles of ancient Indian wisdom. By employing
an analytical and comparative methodology, this study illustrates how the amalgamation of traditional
knowledge with contemporary scientific practices can yield holistic solutions to pressing global issues
related to health, ecology, and human welfare. Additionally, the paper reviews current policies and
academic structures that support IKS and proposes methods for its broader integration into mainstream
knowledge systems. The findings indicate that the synergy between IKS and modern science is crucial
for driving innovation, achieving sustainable development, and enhancing global well-being
