QAPF (Streckeisen) diagram template for Excel
Description
The template will plot modal compositional data of igneous rocks into QAPF and triangular diagrams, including diagrams for mafic and ultramafic rocks, according to the USGS nomenclature. The sample data can be arranged in up to 10 groups that will be displayed with different symbols/colours in the diagrams.
Version "QAPF_etc_2025-07.xlsm":
This version comes with a VBA macro that only inserts additional rows in order to accomodate more samples in a group. You don't need to enable the macro if you are happy with the number of pre-defined samples.
