Description
This study investigates public preferences for delivery time slots in e-commerce, analyzing factors influencing
consumer choices and expectations. Utilizing data from a survey of 230 respondents, the research examined
relationships between demographics, delivery habits, and specific time slot preferences using statistical
methods including Chi-Square and Linear Regression. Key findings reveal a weak but statistically significant
association between employment status and preferred delivery times (χ²=25.0, p=.043). Notably, the
importance consumers place on narrow delivery windows strongly predicts their willingness to pay extra for
guaranteed 1-hour slots (β=.503, p<.001, R²=.271). Consumers demonstrate low tolerance for delays and highly
value real-time tracking features. These insights highlight the need for flexible, precise, and transparent delivery
options to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency in the competitive e-commerce landscape.
