This policy brief is one within a series focused on examining the wording within articles of the Chair’s draft text (version published on December 1, 2024) for the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including in the marine environment. This brief has been published ahead of the INC-5.2 meeting taking place on August 5-14, 2025.
