Description

Abstract: The rapid adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) has revolutionized the auto industry and is having a major impact on gas station operators. This study examines the impact of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) on the role and job prospects of gas station operators. Using an observational approach, this study investigates how the spread of EVCS affects gas station workers' job security, day of accountability, and prospects for full employment. Key topics in the review include potential job losses, retraining needs and workforce adjustment strategies for transportation changes. These findings provide insight into the challenges and opportunities gas station operators face in transitioning to electric vehicles, informing policymakers and business partners about appropriate support systems for affected employees
