From Load Times to Bot Traffic: A Comprehensive Approach to DSpace Performance

This presentation will discuss how to think about a repository's performance in modern times, and discuss the factors that affect the performance of a DSpace production instance. We will summarize what has improved on the topic of performance in DSpace 9 (scheduled to be released at the end of May 2025), discuss approaches repository managers can take to improve the performance of a DSpace repository, discuss the impact of AI harvesting on DSpace, and invite attendees to share the particular performance issues they've seen and the solutions they've tried.
