Gamificación y Humanidades Digitales en la Enseñanza del Arte: Estrategias Interactivas
Description
This white paper presents Eduarte, an educational project that integrates digital humanities and gamification to promote art learning in marginalized communities, specifically targeting fifth-grade students in San Jacinto, Aguascalientes, Mexico. The initiative responds to the historical neglect of arts education in rural areas by developing a web-based platform—usable both online and offline—that fosters creativity, emotional development, and student engagement through interactive and playful strategies.
The project adopts a mixed-methods approach, including interviews, surveys, and participatory design sessions with teachers and students to co-create relevant and culturally grounded content. The findings reveal increased motivation, improved emotional expression, and stronger teacher-student collaboration. The platform also demonstrates scalability and adaptability in low-connectivity environments.
While connectivity and sustained teacher training remain challenges, Eduarte provides a replicable model for integrating technology and the arts in basic education. It contributes to reducing the digital divide and enriching school curricula through inclusive and creative methodologies aligned with 21st-century educational goals
