FaceTrack: Monitoring Unauthorized System Access
Authors/Creators
Description
FaceTrack is a real-time facial recognition tool designed to verify the identity of users at the time of device login. Unlike
standard password-based systems, it confirms whether the individual accessing the system is authorized. If an unfamiliar face is
detected, the application captures an image and promptly notifies the rightful user through Telegram. Developed using Python,
OpenCV, Dlib, and Telegram’s API, FaceTrack is optimized for quick response and low resource usage. To guard against spoofing, it
includes basic liveness checks such as blink detection and subtle facial movements. The system performs well under different lighting
conditions, supports multiple user profiles, and keeps a log of access attempts. With an average alert time of under five seconds,
FaceTrack offers an effective security solution for personal and professional use.
