This presentation argues that the future of the humanities is increasingly bright, due to new audiences, technologies, and institutional models enabled by the digital age. O'Donnell presents digital humanities as a paradigm shift akin to the Darwinian transformation in natural sciences. He introduces initiatives such as the Lethbridge Journal Incubator and the Visionary Cross Project to illustrate the benefits of open access, interdisciplinarity, and community engagement.
