DESIGN AND WORKING SCHEME OF A TWO-TIER DISC PLOUGH FOR LAYERED SOIL TURNING

Description

This article presents the structural design and operational scheme of a two-tier disc plough developed for effective cultivation of layered soils. The upper and lower disc bodies are mounted on the frame at a specific distance, allowing the soil layer to be turned in two stages due to their vertical and horizontal arrangement. The upper tier works at a depth of 15 cm, while the lower tier operates at 20 cm. This scheme ensures deep burial of weed residues, unharvested stalks, and organic matter. The turning quality was evaluated based on the ratio b/a > 1.3, which is essential for complete soil inversion. Graphs and diagrams illustrate the movement and layering of the soil during operation. The results confirm the efficiency of the two-tier disc plough and recommend its application in cotton, repeated, and vegetable field cultivation
