Description
Data and analysis produced as part of the systematic literature review (SLR) "Earth Science Digital Twins: A Systematic Literature Review". The SLR will be submitted to The 2nd International Conference on Engineering Digital Twins (EDTconf 2025).
It consists of an Excel sheet containing a list of reviewed articles, extracted data, and data analysis. A description of each sheet is given below:
| Data Selection | A list of identified research and whether they are included or excluded in SLR. |
| Data Extraction | The extracted data from the included studies. Final columns contain collected data that is not used in the SLR |
| Results | Basic results of the data extraction, such as included studies, publication years, extraction ratio, and presentation type |
| Visuals | Contains the imagery used in the SLR |
| Domains | Analysis of which Earth science (ES) domains employ digital twins (DTs) |
| Software | Analysis of software development tools (SDTs) used for ESDT development |
| Software Table | Used for categorising SDTs |
| Future Directions | Analysis of future directions |
| Limitations Challenges | Analysis of limitations and challenges |
| Limitations Challenges Matrix | Matrix of limitations and challenges in relation to one another |
| Purposes | Analysis of ESDT purposes |
| DT Definitions | Analysis of DT definitions |
| SLR Display Table | Used for creating a table of extracted data in the SLR (contains data already present in "Data Extraction") |
