How to Open Science… in Earth and Human History Research

The working program of the data competence centre Knowledge Lab for Scientific Collections and Object-Centric Data (WiNoDA) includes a focus on ‘Open Science’. One objective is to explain and communicate the core aspects of open science for the WiNoDa community.

The slides provided served as the basis for a general introduction workshop to the topic of open science at the Berlin Museum of Natural History on 13 May 2025. This workshop focussed on the relationship between Open Science and the ‘FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship’. 

Part of the workshop was a use case from archaeology. Núria Morera Noguer presented her work on the topic of ‘Food processing in Göbekli Tepe’. This input is not included in the slides.

Das Arbeitsprogramm des Datenkompetenzzentrums Knowledge Lab for Scientific Collections and Object-Centric Data (WiNoDA) beinhaltet einen Schwerpunkt zum Thema „Open Science“. Ein Ziel ist es, die Kernaspekte von Open Science für die WiNoDa-Community zu erläutern und zu vermitteln.

Die zur Verfügung gestellten Folien dienten als Grundlage für einen Einführungsworkshop zum Thema „Open Science“ am 13. Mai 2025 im Berliner Museum für Naturkunde.
