Survey on the Awareness and Use of Experimental Sciences among Archaeologists in Andalusia (Project ARQUEOMEMES)

Description

This dataset contains the results of a survey conducted among archaeology professionals in Andalusia (Spain), aimed at assessing their level of awareness and use of experimental sciences applied to archaeological heritage. The survey was launched as part of the ARQUEOMEMES project, developed by the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage (Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Histórico, IAPH).

The goal was to identify training needs, patterns of technological adoption, and perceptions regarding analytical tools such as geochemistry, petrology, spectroscopy, or remote sensing.

The data have been anonymized and are structured to facilitate reuse by researchers, educators, or heritage managers interested in enhancing the integration of experimental sciences into archaeological practice.
