Physical fitness is the ability to perform daily tasks with vigor and alertness, without excessive fatigue, and with enough
energy to enjoy leisure activities and handle unexpected emergencies. When related to health, physical fitness involves components
associated with physical, psychological, and social well-being, both in terms of disease prevention and risk reduction, as well as
greater readiness for daily activities. Objective: To assess health-related physical fitness in high school students.
Methods: Body composition was evaluated using the body mass index (BMI) and the waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), classified into the
Healthy Zone (HZ) and the Health Risk Zone (HRZ), along with body fat percentage (%BF).
