This review paper mainly focuses on an outline of gene therapy and how it is carried out. The main emphasis of this paper is on cardiovascular diseases, which are leading global issues. A variety of important cardiovascular diseases are discussed here, stating which genes are responsible for causing them, along with how the advancement in gene therapy has significantly enhanced the prospect of their effective treatment.
