Description

Abstract (English)

This technical report presents the modeling and simulation of a hybrid VTOL fixed-wing aircraft using MATLAB/Simulink. The system comprises two distinct models: one for vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) and another for fixed-wing cruise flight. Both models operate in three degrees of freedom and rely on PID controllers for stability. The work includes a simplified aerodynamic model, detailed control structures, and highlights challenges related to pitch and horizontal control. The simulation is based on reference designs such as Uber Elevate and the Osprey V-22 UAV, and outlines future directions for model integration and improvement.
