Kinetic Analysis App

  • 1. Swansea University Medical School, Singleton Park Campus, Swansea SA2 8PP UK

Description

This interactive Shiny app allows students and educators to explore enzyme kinetics using common linear and non-linear models. Users can input their own experimental data or modify built-in examples to fit kinetic curves and calculate parameters like Vmax and Km.

The app supports multiple visualisations including:

  • Michaelis–Menten plots
  • Lineweaver–Burke plots
  • Hanes–Woolf plots
  • Eadie–Hofstee plots

The tool is designed for teaching in biochemistry, pharmacology and biomedical science programs and helps reinforce core concepts of enzyme behaviour under varying substrate concentrations.
