SECRETVAULT: A SECURE DIARY, PASSWORD VAULT, AND TO-DO MANAGER
Description
ABSTRACT
In today’s digital age, we rely on digital tools to manage our personal data, daily activities and sensitive information. But most users are forced to use multiple platforms for different purposes— one for journaling, another for passwords and yet another for daily tasks. This fragmentation leads to inefficiency and compromises data security. To address these challenges, this project presents “Secret Vault”: A Personal Diary, Password Vault and To-Do Manager Web Application Using Django”, an all-in-one secure and user-friendly web application to boost personal productivity and digital safety. The project combines three core features into one interface: 1. Diary Module – Users can write, edit and delete personal entries. Each entry is analyzed using a basic sentiment analysis tool to help users track their emotional well-being over time. 2. Password Vault – Users can store and manage login credentials for different websites. Passwords are stored securely and the interface provides an organized view for better usability. 3. To-Do List Manager – Users can add, update and remove tasks to track daily responsibilities and boost time management. The whole system is built using Django, a high-level Python web framework that promotes rapid development and clean, pragmatic design. The backend uses Django’s robust model-view template (MVT) architecture and the frontend uses HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap for a responsive and accessible user experience.
