A guide to selecting high-performing antibodies for GCase (UniProt ID: P04062) for use in western blot, immunoprecipitation, and immunofluorescence

Description

This report provides a guide to selecting high-quality commercial antibodies against the lysosomal enzyme glucocerebrosidase (GCase) for use in Western blot and immunoprecipitation, utilizing a standardized experimental protocol that compares read-outs in knockout cell lines and isogenic parental controls. This research was partly funded by the G-Can (GBA1-Canada) initiative, an open-science collaboration dedicated to advancing research on Parkinson's disease associated with GBA1 mutations. This work was also supported by the Quebec Consortium for Drug Discovery (CQDM), a grant from the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie du Québec.
