EOSC-ENTRUST D14.1 Updated Roadmap for EOSC-ENTRUST Blueprint
Authors/Creators
Description
EOSC-ENTRUST is a European initiative aimed at creating a network of Trusted Research Environments (TREs) for sensitive data and fostering interoperability through a shared framework known as the EOSC-ENTRUST Blueprint & Interoperability Framework. This second version of the Blueprint Roadmap outlines updated steps toward building a Blueprint that meets the needs of both project use cases (Drivers) and TRE providers (Providers). Phase 1, completed in 2024, delivered the first version of the Blueprint along with initial training materials, a machine-readable TRE catalogue, validation reports, a blueprint for Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting Infrastructure (AAAI), and a demonstrator report. It also reviewed developments in related European efforts such as the European Health Data Space (EHDS) and the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Based on these results, the project will move forward with Phase 2 (focused on refining procedures and interfaces) and Phase 3 (producing the final Blueprint). Strong engagement in Phase 1 has been instrumental, and the team will continue hosting annual workshops in May and September to gather requirements and support adoption.
