Open
Open Science for an Open Society
Description
Abstract: This presentation examines the historical foundations of Open Science and unpacks the diverse—and at times conflicting—meanings the concept has acquired in different contexts. It considers current developments at the interfaces between science and non-science, where new practices, expectations, and tensions are emerging. By situating Open Science within these shifting boundaries, the presentation invites a critical discussion about the kind of Open Science we envision—and need—for an open society.
