Description

Periapical radiolucencies related to primary teeth are often overlooked, and in many instances, they resolve after the extraction of the affected tooth. Grundy, Adkins, and Savage have reported a series of radicular cysts associated with endodontically treated deciduous teeth containing formocresol, a compound that, when combined with tissue proteins, becomes antigenic.12 This combination is known to elicit both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses. The current case discusses a radicular cyst associated with a primary molar that underwent endodontic treatment
