Description

This record contains amplicon sequence data files in fasta format to accompany the article “Genetic variability in microbial eukaryotes reshapes marine biodiversity assessment in the age of amplicon sequencing” (Trubovitz, Sandin, & Caron, 2025). These sequence data were obtained from individual polycystine Radiolaria specimens isolated at or near Station ALOHA (22°45 0 N, 158°00 0 W), approximately 100km north of Oahu, Hawaii. Details regarding sample collection, laboratory methods, sequencing, and bioinformatic processing are provided in Trubovitz, Sandin, & Caron (2025). The analyes in our article can be replicated from the data included in this Zenodo record. The raw fastq files underlying this study can also be downloaded from the Sequence Read Archive (SRA) with sample accession numbers SAMN48798827 – SAMN48798999 (under BioProject PRJNA1269742).

Please see "File Descriptions.pdf" for information about the contents of each fasta file.
