SuXXES: An XES-Based Production Process with Integrated Sustainability Data
Authors/Creators
Description
This dataset contains a synthetically generated event log that demonstrates the application of the SuXXES extension, an enhancement of the XES standard designed to incorporate sustainability-related attributes into event logs. The log is derived from a simulated production process for wooden chairs, implemented in Python using the SimPy and PM4Py libraries. The event log comprises 250 cases and 3,300 events.
The simulated process includes typical manufacturing steps such as material preparation, cutting, assembly, surface treatment, quality control, and storage. Each process step is enriched with detailed sustainability data, including
- material and energy consumption,
- CO₂ emissions,
- workplace environmental conditions (e.g., dust, noise, vibrations),
- use of chemicals and water,
- workplace incidents and employee data.
The simulation introduces specific sustainability bottlenecks, such as high energy usage, chemical emissions, and increased accident rates, to enable meaningful analysis.
This dataset is intended for research in process mining, particularly in the context of sustainability analysis, and does not aim to replicate a real-world industrial process.
