Digitally supported health care: evaluation approaches to a complex intervention embedded in a trial

Description

This abstract proivdes an overivew of the evaluation approched used in the implementaion of an integrated, nurse-led, technology-supported intervention as part of a Randomised Contorlled Trial, with a focus on, how to evaluate this intervention in a way that supports the successful and sustained adoption and/ or adaptation of the intervention. The abstract emphasises the need to concisder and address the:

1) readiness to implement (a complex tehcnology-supported intervention)

2) the experiences of implementing this type of intervention (focussing on the challegnes, facilitatirs, and strategies that support success)

3) the experiences of sustained adoption post trial (focussing on the funding, support, and evaluation needed by the institutaiton and the flexibility and continual adaptatoin needed of the intervention).
