  • 1. Universitas Islam Negeri Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto, Indonesia

Description

This study explores the implementation strategies of the School Literacy Movement (SLM) across educational institutions. While literacy remains fundamental to educational success, many schools struggle to establish effective literacy programs that engage students and create lasting reading habits. Through qualitative document analysis and systematic literature review, this research investigates successful SLM implementation strategies, barriers encountered, and potential solutions. The findings reveal five key components for successful implementation: administrative leadership commitment, integrated curriculum approaches, engaging physical literacy environments, community partnerships, and continuous assessment mechanisms. The study concludes that successful SLM implementation requires a holistic approach involving all stakeholders and consistent integration of literacy practices across the curriculum. These findings contribute to the growing body of knowledge on effective literacy promotion in educational settings and provide practical recommendations for educational institutions seeking to strengthen their literacy programs.
