POLSKI PAŹDZIERNIK W WYMIARZE LOKALNYM. SKUTKI POPAŹDZIERNIKOWEJ "ODWILŻY" 1956 ROK NA SYTUACJE SPOŁECZNO-POLITYCZNĄ W PILE

Artykuł dotyczy wydarzeń związanych z przesileniem politycznym, jakie miało miejsce po Październiku 1956 r., na terenie Piły. Były one skutkiem ogólnopolskich przemian, jakie nastąpiły po przejęciu władzy w Polskiej Zjednoczonej Partii Robotniczej (PZPR) przez Władysława Gomułkę. Październik był symbolem końca stalinizmu w Polsce. W jego wyniku Polacy liczyli na pogłębienie reform politycznych, które miały zliberalizować życie w państwie. Spowodowało to przetasowania we władz partyjnych na szczeblu centralnym i lokalnych, doprowadziło do zmian we władzach państwowych (rząd) i terenowych (rady narodowe), ożywiło działalność inteligencji poprzez kluby dyskusyjne, spowodowało odrodzenie harcerstwa, wymusiło zawieszenie walki z Kościołem i umożliwiło tworzenia samorządu robotniczego w zakładach pracy. Wszystkie powyższe zjawiska miało miejsce także na terenie Piły. Jak pokazała przyszłość władzą centralnym i lokalnym nie zależało na pogłębianiu demokratyzacji system i bardzo szybko zahamowano wiele z powyższych reform, tak aby utrzymać hegemonistyczną pozycję PZPR.
Abstract (Antigua and Barbuda Creole English)
The article concerns the events related to the political crisis that took place after October 1956 around Piła. They were the result of nationwide changes that occurred after Władysław Gomułka took power in the Polish United Workers’ Party (PUWP). October was a symbol of the end of Stalinism in Poland. As a result, Poles counted on deepening political reforms that were to liberalize life in the country. This caused reshuffles in the party authorities at the central and local levels, led to changes in the state authorities (government) and local (people’s councils) authorities. It revived the activities of the intelligence through discussion clubs, caused the rebirth of the scouts, and forced the suspension of the fight against the Church. It also enabled the creation of workers’ self-government in workplaces. All the above phenomena took place around Piła as well. However, as the future showed, the central and local authorities were not interested in deepening the democratization of the system and quickly many of the above reforms were stopped to maintain the hegemonic position of the PUWP.
