Description

The Space Court Foundation Student Space Law Journal (SCF SSLJ) is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to fostering academic excellence among students and early-career professionals in the field of space law and policy. Launched in June 2024 by the Space Court Foundation, it is the first journal exclusively for student-authored scholarship in this specialised discipline.

Aim: To offer an accessible yet exceptionally rigorous forum in which current and recent space-law students can cultivate, publish and refine scholarship of the same calibre demanded by the world’s leading academic journals. By welcoming contributions from those without advanced law degrees (LLM or higher), the SCF SSLJ fills a critical gap left by traditional space-law periodicals, which seldom consider submissions from undergraduates or early-stage postgraduates, while nonetheless adhering to the highest standards of peer review and editorial excellence.

All submissions undergo double-blind peer review in accordance with the most exacting professional standards. Moreover, as part of our internship programme, SCF interns may submit abstracts and, if accepted, are paired with a dedicated mentor who guides them through the drafting and structuring of a professional manuscript, while ensuring they retain full academic ownership of their ideas and prose.
