Researching security ontologies for Information Systems
Authors/Creators
Description
The increasing digitalization and interconnection of systems (such as SoS, CPS, and Intelligent Systems), driven by APIs, have brought efficiency but also security vulnerabilities. To ensure secure communication—meeting reliability, integrity, and availability requirements—the use of ontologies is proposed as a strategic solution, capable of unifying heterogeneous data and strengthening governance in complex environments. This study conducts a systematic literature review to map methods, techniques, and tools applied to security ontologies in Information Systems, considering the dimensions of Processes, People, and Technologies. The outcome will be a generic taxonomy that organizes existing approaches, providing an integrated view of the topic.
