Fundamentos, investigación y casos reales de la IA/ML en la gestión de redes

As part of LACNIC 43—one of the most important Internet events in the region—held from May 5 to 9, 2025, at the Anhembi District Convention Center in São Paulo, Brazil, Christian Rothenberg from FEEC/UNICAMP delivered a presentation titled “Fundamentos, investigación y casos reales de la IA/ML en la gestión de redes” on May 9. His talk covered the foundational concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning, their applications in network automation, quality of experience (QoE) optimization, and network problem detection. Rothenberg showcased real-world use cases such as enhancing YouTube QoE over 4G/5G networks and detecting soft failures in optical networks using a Network Digital Twin. The session concluded with practical recommendations for implementing these technologies in operational environments.
