The Millennial Indian: Thematic Insights from Chetan Bhagat's Works

The motive of this study is to examine the intricacies of contemporary Indian relationships, romantic love, family dynamics, and the pursuit of personal happiness in Chetan Bhagat's novels. Chetan Bhagat's stories frequently narrate the conflict between tradition and modernization and how family and personal choice shape the individual’s relationship. When it comes to weaving the emotional strands throughout the lives of his characters, Chetan Bhagat finds no match. The characters in Chetan Bhagat's novels showcase their resilience to overcome the challenges which becomes the source of their growth and evolution. By assessing some notable works of Chetan Bhagat, the study will showcase these characters’ struggle of personal goals, cultural conflicts, and social constraints, which change their relationships drastically. The novels selected for the study are "Five Point Someone: What Not to Do at IIT", “The 3 Mistakes of My Life”, "2 States: The Story of My Marriage" and “One Indian Girl”.
