21st Century Civic Competences
Description
Civic competences have as their reference sphere the axiological field of education reflected at the level of the general contents of moral education, value-oriented through the general and specific objectives of moral education, value-ordered through the normativity of moral education supported especially by the principle of concordance between theoretical moral consciousness and practical moral consciousness.
Civic competences are pedagogically grounded, against the background of the existing relationship between the value of moral good determined by the requirements of normal development (in accordance with the normativity of moral education) of man and society and the general contents of moral education which, in historical evolution, integrate a set of theoretical and practical moral knowledge – moral-religious, moral-civic, moral-political, moral-legal, moral-professional (deontological), adaptable to the world of work of today and tomorrow, in the culture and economy of the information society based on knowledge.
The civic competences of the 21st century are thus a product of theoretical and practical civic knowledge, determined by the psychological requirements of the personality (open, autonomous, innovative) and social of the information society, based on globalized knowledge, theoretical and practical civic knowledge supported axiologically and attitudinal.
