Description
"Quaderni eretici" is an online and open access journal, published annually, and has been an integral part of the Ereticopedia project since 2013. As such, it shares both the editorial and scientific boards with the Dictionary of Heretics, Dissenters and Inquisitors in the Mediterranean World (for more details, see the Credits page on this website). Additionally, the journal has an independent and functional executive committee currently composed of Luca Al Sabbagh (secretary), Francesco Baroni, Elisa Bianco, Irene Bueno, Vincenzo Lagioia, Simone Lonati, Daniele Santarelli (coordinator), Domizia Weber.
The journal is published by the Associazione CLORI, through its publishing imprint, Edizioni CLORI, and is part of the Cantiere Storico Filologico network.
"Quaderni eretici" primarily aims to serve as a space for young scholars, offering them an opportunity to showcase the results of their research. By its nature, it is a "young" journal: online, open access, and with ambitions of long-term development, focusing on interdisciplinarity and the benefits that an intelligent application of new technologies can bring to the humanities and social sciences.
Each article submitted to the journal undergoes external double-blind peer review. If accepted, articles are individually published online as they become ready, and are freely accessible and downloadable. Once the annual volume is complete (usually in December), the issue is formatted with final pagination and made freely available in full. Abstracts, in Italian and English, of each article can be consulted on a dedicated page.
In line with the editorial policy of Edizioni CLORI, publication in "Quaderni eretici" is entirely free of charge, and no fees (APC – Article Processing Charges) are required from authors.
The journal is identified by the online ISSN 2421-3012 and registered in the CINECA ANCE database under code E231686. Each issue is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), and the corresponding PDF is deposited on Zenodo, an international open access archive for research publications and data across all disciplines, managed by CERN in Geneva and OpenAIRE.
"Quaderni eretici" is indexed in DOAJ, in ERIH PLUS, in Google Scholar, in the Italian Periodicals Catalogue (ACNP), and included in the ANVUR lists of scientific journals for disciplinary areas 10 (Antiquities, Philological-Literary and Historical-Artistic Sciences), 11 (Historical, Philosophical, Pedagogical and Psychological Sciences), and 12 (Legal Sciences).
