  • Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on the challenges and developments in the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). Established in 2004, the ENP has opened some opportunities for beneficiary countries of this policy. The implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) vis-à-vis the Southern and Eastern partners, has been the subject of scrutiny in the international arena. Recent events in 2011 North Africa are forcing a redefinition of priorities in this region and show the new challenges of the ENP. The High Representative’s communication from 25.05.2011 opens new perspectives. More effectiveness of the ENP is necessary.
