Description

Abstract:

This study explores the utilisation of PVDF polymer nanocomposite material as a membrane separator in Li-ion batteries. PVDF nanocomposite materials are chosen for their exceptional thermal, mechanical, and chemical stability, making them ideal candidates for this application. The separator serves as an electrical insulator between the cathode and the anode, while allowing the movement of Li+ ions. The PVDF nanocomposite material was synthesised via the solvent casting method, followed by a phase separation process. The resulting samples were characterised using electrochemical, thermal, imaging, and spectral analytical techniques.
