  • 1. ROR icon Testament Theological Seminary

Description

This study conducts an exegetical analysis of 1 Timothy 5:8 to address the neglect of family responsibilities in contemporary Christian households. Using a textual and historical-critical methodology, the research examines the Greek text of 1 Timothy 5:8, exploring its linguistic, cultural, and historical context. The article further engages with relevant theological commentaries and scholarly sources to uncover the implications of the passage for modern Christian life. The findings emphasise the importance of fathers fulfilling their biblical duties to lead, provide, and protect their families. The study concludes by calling for a renewed commitment to biblical family roles and the need for church support in fostering fatherhood in discipleship.
