THE USE OF ONLINE PLATFORMS IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING IN THE DIGITAL AGE

The integration of digital platforms into English language education has substantially transformed traditional pedagogical methodologies. This study examines the efficacy of digital tools, including Duolingo, Memrise, BBC Learning English, TED Talks, and Skyeng, in enhancing the linguistic competencies of high school students. The research methodology comprises both theoretical analysis and empirical data gathered from a survey administered to students. The results indicate a significant correlation between digital engagement and improvements in motivation, vocabulary acquisition, and autonomous learning. The discussion explores the implications of these findings, the educational potential of online platforms, and the challenges associated with their implementation within formal educational frameworks.
