PHONETIC FEATURES OF THE OLD SLAVONIC LANGUAGE: SOUND SYSTEM AND ITS STRUCTURE

Description

This article examines the main phonetic features of the Old Church Slavonic language, one of the oldest Slavic written languages. Particular attention is paid to the sound system, phoneme distribution, and typical phonetic processes such as palatalization, vowel reduction, and digraphic features. Vowel and consonant phonemes, their classification, and functions in the sound structure of the language are analyzed.
