Coseismic Surface Deformation from Senltinel-1 Pixel Olfset Tracking of the 2025 Myanmar Mw 7.9 Earthquake

  • 1. ROR icon University of Science and Technology of China

Description

This dataset contains pixel offset tracking results derived from Sentinel-1 SAR imagery for the Mw 7.9 earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025. The data were obtained from ascending tracks T070 and T143, and descending tracks T033 and T106, covering the southern segment of the Sagaing Fault—the primary rupture zone of the earthquake. Using offset tracking techniques, coseismic surface displacements were extracted, revealing a predominant right-lateral strike-slip motion along the fault zone. This dataset is valuable for studies of earthquake-induced deformation, fault kinematics, and seismic hazard assessment.
