GEONEAT 2D Heterogeneous Fracture Aperture and Reynolds-Based Flow Fields Run 04
Description
This dataset contains 100 Monte Carlo realizations of 2D steady-state Stokes flow simulations in rough-walled fractures, generated within the GEONEAT project (EU Horizon Europe GA 101111216).
The simulations adopt the lubrication approximation and capture the influence of aperture heterogeneity on hydrodynamic transport. Each realization includes pressure, velocity (longitudinal and transverse), and aperture fields stored in HDF5 format. Data were generated using a synthetic aperture FFT-based generator algorithm and solved with a custom Newton-based flow solver.
The dataset is organized according to the GEONEAT Data Management Plan. It is compatible with HDFView, MATLAB (`h5read`), and Python (`h5py`).
Please refer to the README file for a complete description of the structure, parameter values, and licensing information.
